Overlooking Cannes in the Alpes-Maritimes, Grasse is adorned with the colours of the South, with fields of lavender, roses, jasmine, mimosas and olive trees.
Set off into the medieval town of Grasse, following the brass emblems which mark the route around the historic centre. During your stroll around the winding roads, you can admire the Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Puy, the Palais de l’Evêque and the remains of a feudal dungeon, all 13th century buildings, as well as the superb villas and town houses. Take the time to relax in one of Grasse’s picturesque squares. From the Cours Honoré-Cresp and the Princesse Pauline gardens, there are splendid views over the coast and the Massif de l’Esterel. Grasse also lies on one of the loveliest roads in France, the Route Napoléon, which starts in Golfe-Juan and ends in Grenoble.
